At GR ORGANIC COIR we transform coconut husks into high-quality coco peat and coir products. Our process involves washing, drying, sorting, sifting, and mixing to create the perfect growing medium. Each step is meticulously carried out to ensure premium quality and consistency.
Step 1: Coconut Husk Processing
We process coconut husks at our mills to get coir fiber. The leftover spongy material, called coco coir or coco peat, is the main ingredient for our growing medium.
Step 2: Washing of Raw Coco Peat
We wash the coir pith with fresh water to lower its salt content. This helps plant roots absorb water better.
Step 3: Drying of Washed Coco Peat
We sun-dry the wet coir pith in concrete yards to reduce its moisture to the right level for compaction.
Step 4: Sorting
We sort the dried coir pith based on its salt content and moisture level.
Step 5: Sifting and Sieving
We sift and sieve the sorted coir pith to remove fine dust and get the right-sized grains for the growing medium.
Step 6 (Optional): Mixing of Coco Peat,
We mix the sifted coco pith with coco chips and coco coir as per the specifications to get a uniform mixture.
Step 7: Compaction of Coco Peat
We compact the substrate mixture in hydraulic presses to the required size.
Step 8: Pack & Despatch
We pack the coco substrates as specified (in growbags, shrink-wrapped, or in cartons) and then move them to our stockyard for palletizing and shipment.
